Since I have nothing important to update with for now, besides fact I am drawing...It's quiz time love muffins.
◆Your name?
On Deviantart? I guess I'll go by Havoc...*shrug*
◆If possible, your age?
Old enough to smoke...and possibly drink.
◆When did you start drawing?
Oh damn.
Probably when I could hold a pencil or crayon in my hand. I'll say four, five years old. I use to make up my own stories. It's not much different then what I do now but with the exception that I drew cats and clowns juggling and balloons and rainbows and dragons, I dont know how or why those would be in the same catagory...but my kiddie mind said 'yes.'
◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
I'm a righty. If I were to ever lose it in some horrific accident...that'll be it. My other hand is basically useless except for opening lids.
◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Men are easier. I can draw both...but sadly, I'm a female and I have a harder time drawing women. It's the curves. XD Ironically too, I have a girl friend with butt and a rack, and still have a tougher time...wtf.
◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Either. I think it just depends on the hair do and style of it. Fringed, layered, rounded, etc.
It's the most fun part .
◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Either is alright but...easier? I'll guess and say left. A 3/4 view is best though and most fun.
◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
I always fuck up a forehead on the profile. and then i erase a few times and finally get it. But always. I dont. Know. Why.*Head bang desk."
◆What do you have problems in drawing?
One would be figuring out perspective like for example, bird's eye view. Two: Backgrounds...because they require perspective. And three: Machines...>_<; like a car.
◆What do you like to draw?
People and animals mostly.Cartoons and comics. Oh...and homo/lesbi things. Always fun.

◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
BOTH.

I was strictly traditional at one point. Mostly because I was scared of messing up on computer or figured it'll be too difficult for my slow brain to learn...but I'm progressing and slowly getting hang of inking and coloring on photoshop. I still do all my initial sketches traditionally though and just clean them up, simply because it's faster and easier for me.
◆Where do you start drawing from?
A circle for the head

◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I draw the whole inner skeleton. I grid out practically everything...so just lines everywhere.
◆What do you keep in mind when you do lineart?
Um...I think..."Carpel Tunnel" when inking line art. I keep in my mind "...Why the fuck is the line not coming out straight?! Fucking hand."
◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
It's important to use your basic rules in coloring like complimentary colors, etc to bring out attention to an object or not. And to keep a light source in mind when shading..where your darkest darks will be and your lightest lights.
◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
A long time depending on what I'm doing and how difficult. A simple sketch could be 15 mins, more complicated sketch an hour or so....a full inking and coloring could be 2 hours to 10..maybe more.
◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
I have a diverse amount of music...but I say the majority is rock

I have music from Lady Gaga to Metallica. I also have my spanish, french, italian, japanese..whatever sounds great. It also really depends on my mood...or what mood i need when doing a piece. Like a darker theme, I'll play something fitting to it. Happy with happy. Sexy with sexy. Etc.

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Sometimes I can come up with ideas on the spot, walking outside, in the car, whatever. Then there's those times I really have to sit and think of something...or what I call 'artist block'. Sometimes when I look up reference for clothing, hair styles, whatever, I can actually come up with an idea. Or after a conversation with my friend, gf, or even family member. :-P
◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
A good pencil and an eraser and I'm happy like a fat kid with cake. And paper...don't forget paper. Otherwise be like a fat kid with an empty plate.
◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
I like red

But I tend to lean toward earth tones a lot, which may explain why my coloring can be pretty bright in a way.
◆Your favorite style(s)?
Disney actually. And Batman and Spider-man have been influences. So I guess western.

However, I do like japanese style such as Gundam or Hellsing for example....but I'm highly picky on mangas. I really dislike when the character eyes are SO huge it takes 90% of the face. Or those really really female looking men, unless it is purposely done for some reason.
◆Are you satisfied with your current art?
It's...it's getting there. But I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with it...because I always think I could get better.
◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
I'm not sure. I suppose I gear toward not just for my enjoyment but others as well. I'm also a bit proud of when I complete a piece and I can't stop looking at it.

If I could inspire someone I'll be truly flattered, but I don't feel I'm at such a level yet. Maybe someday..maybe never. For now...I'm still learning to get better everyday. I guess I aim just to be someone in general my love ones could be proud of.
Finally done!

With love, XOXO
